It was the first goal of her new season and a splendid victory arrived. Today Safiya Alsayegh became UAE National Champion in the Women's Elite individual time trial.

After the three of Marta Bastianelli in Europe, fourth seasonal success for UAE Team ADQ, the first professional women team of the United Arab Emirates.

Twenty years old, university student in Design, Safiya has a great passion for sport and cycling in particular and this year she became the first female professional cyclist in the United Arab Emirates.
Today on the 24 km course in Sharjah she was the strongest and confirmed herself as national champion with a great performance.

Safiya Alsayegh said: “The race went very well, better than I had assumed. I’m very happy for the performance I put out on the road today, before the result of winning. The Colnago K.one didn’t disappoint at all, what a machine! I thank all the people behind this result, from my team, UAE team ADQ, to my family that always have my back and support me to the fullest. I am truly blessed with the support I receive that keeps me striving for more”.
