The magic moment of this beginning of season continues for Alessandro Covi, who conquered with authority the 2nd stage of Vuelta Andalucia (Archidona-Alcalà de La Real, 150,6 km). The 23-year-old placed the winning sprint in the last kilometer of the race, attacking on the short but steep final climb (with stretches up to 25% gradient). With this success, he leaps also to the command of the general classification.

For Covi, already seventh yesterday in the opening stage, this is the second seasonal success (the first one was obtained last week at Vuelta Murcia).
